Noteworthy Blog

A friend has begun blogging her food experiences. And in my opinion it is a very accessible and inspiring site. If you are looking for ideas for a dinner party or quick meal - the Menu Maniac is the place to go. Jordana is a former cooking club member (until she left us for higher education). We miss her but are more than happy to read about her endeavours on her new blog.

Funniest food blog...ever

After going through a few websites at the beginning of this year, I was led to a blog called Cake Wrecks. People described it as "hilarious" and "one of the funniest blogs they had ever read". I was quite skeptical, figuring there was no way to make cake funny. I'm not into obvious jokes, and thought this may be amusing but I wouldn't come back to read the blog again.

I was wrong. I spend an hour one morning perusing Cake Wrecks and laughing my ass off. It is now in my favourites list. Please take a look for yourself, be sure to check out the "Fan Favourites".

The Omnivore's Hundred

LISTS! Love them! Seriously, a good list where I can cross things off and see my progress is ever so satisfying. I am a list geek and proud of it.

Very Good Taste has come up with a list to determine just how many of 100 items bloggers have consumed. It is an omnivore's challenge, so veg people may feel a bit jilted - doesn't mean you can't come up with your own though.

Here are the instructions:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at http://www.verygoodtaste.co.uk/ linking to your results.

Noteable and Noteworthy Blogs

There are a couple of new blogs around that I have taken an interest in...

My friend Andrew has decided to start a blog titled "What I Eat", which discusses the food he consumes as a vegetarian living in Toronto. What he eats may change now that he has a newborn little boy, I'm anxious to find out. His recipe for Oyster Mushroom Poutine is right up my alley! - What I Eat
From the former sponsors of Tastespotting, comes a new website that shows not food but alcohol porn! It is aptly named Liqurious - which I am seriously thinking of naming my first born. - Liqurious

Bite-Worthy Blog!

Check out the blog Cupcake Bakeshop. The recipes are tremendous and obviously well-tested. The cupcake combinations are out of this world! How could I not endorse a blog that has a recipe for Donuts and Coffee Cupcakes or Sweetcorn, Maple and Bacon Cupcakes.
